Scott Whipple - Contemporary Artist

Scott Whipple was born in Southeast Michigan in 1962.  He is a working artist and visual arts instructor in Fort Myers, Florida.  Whipple is a member of the Fort Myers Alliance for the Arts, the Lee Arts Educator's Association and is active in community-wide art shows and events.  He is known for his large scale contemporary paintings.

Whipple is influenced by nature and has been an environmental activist throughout his career.  Whether working on reclaiming dilapidated urban areas, designing large-scale open spaces or advocating for clean water and policy changes to slow climate change.

Scott completed his Bachelor's degree in Urban Planning at Michigan State University's School of Design & Construction, and his Master's degree in Landscape Architecture with Certificate in Urban Design at the University of Pennsylvania Graduate School of Art & Design.  Whipple worked as a professional landscape architect and urban designer for over 30 years. He has won design awards and completed projects across the United States. He is married and lives in the metro Fort Myers, Florida area.
